Past Continuous Tense

1) oblik

Past Continuous Tense se gradi tako što se na prošlo vreme glagola TO BE (was/were) dodaje glagol sa nastavkom ING

I was walking                              we were walking

you were walking                      you were walking

He was walking                           They were walking

She was walking

It was walking

2) Potvrdan, upitan i odričan oblik

Potvrdan oblik: He was walking.

Odričan oblik: He wasn’t walking.

Upitan oblik: Was he walking?

3) Upotreba ovog vremena

primer: I was watching a film when my sister arrived.

Obično ih povezujemo rečju ‘while‘=dok

primer: I was watching a film while my husband was washing dishes
prevod: Gledala sam film dok je moj muž prao sudove
